Cutie Cousins!
Our children had so much fun this past week with their cousins!
They played together for hours on end and didn’t want to part when it was time for us to leave.
I wish we could get together more often!

A Summer Visit With Nonna
We visited my Nonna this week at her nursing home.
She was doing pretty well; although, she has a hard time remembering to speak English. She lived in Italy until my dad was six years old, and has now reverted speaking mostly in Italian. I can pick up a words here and there, but I have a hard time putting them together.Nonna turned 87 in January!
I think she looks great for a lady approaching 90. -

Remembering Rosy Tomorrow’s
When I was growing up, my family and I used to go to Rosy Tomorrow’s as a special treat. Since we are back East, I thought we could take our kids there to show them one of my favorite places to go as a child. They had a lot of fun squeezing Abraham Lincoln’s hand to make a train circle around the restaurant; although, they were a little apprehensive about the Fortune Teller.

When Punky Goes To Heaven

Daddy, when I die, I’ll go to heaven and I’ll see God.
And I’ll bring God down with me, so everyone can see Him.
And Jesus with come with me, too. -
When Friends Move Away
We live in an area surrounded by colleges and universities. That makes it a very transitional area. Since we moved here six and a half years ago, we’ve had lots of friends move away. This time it was a wonderful family, who we are all sad to see leave. I admit I cried my eyes out as we stood on the doorstep watching their car pull away.
Fortunately, for us (unfortunately, for them!), they had to turn around and come back after only a few hours of driving because their AC died. So, we were able to spend another morning with them. The kids always have so much fun together and they really get along well. The family will be moving to England, and as we watched them pull away, Punky kept saying, “I want to go to England! I want to go to England!” He was so sad to see his buddy move away.

We’re going to miss these kiddos!
The little guy on the right is our godson, which means he’ll always be close to our hearts.
I guess we’ll just have to make a trip to England!

Blocks Under a Tent in the Kitchen
What do our kids do when it is raining outside?
Build a tent, of course!I’m sure you remember when Punky destroyed our Pack’nPlay.
Along with the Pack’nPlay, he cut apart a blanket. The blanket in these photos is that very blanket. I guess it works very well as a tent now since there are many strings that are loose. Bunky joined them in the tent as well. That is until he fell over and his his head on a block. Ouch! Poor little guy. He wants to be one of the big kids so badly, but some days, it is more than he can handle.
I love watching my kids play together so nicely. It really helped me out because I am trying to get ready for our trip to visit my family. We have friends who will be housesitting/dogsitting for us, so that is a big relief. I like knowing that our home is being taken care of and that poor, lonely Leo won’t be alone very much.
Yea for friends!
And YEA for family! -
When Punky Takes My Phone…
he is either going to play a game
or take lots of photos!I was charging my iPhone today, when I discovered all of these photos that Punky had taken, many without my knowledge. I love how he posed the horse!
