We met with David’s kindergarten teacher this afternoon. As I had thought, he is doing very well. At the beginning of the school year, they test each children to see how well they can identify letters and concepts and if they can write and read. David wrote this today at school all on his own. Tomorrow we have a parent-teacher conference. I can’t wait to hear how he is doing. I’ve already had a few hints from his teacher that he is doing very well. I’m excited to hear all the details!

Our firstborn began kindergarten this week…and he loves it! We decided to send David to public school this year and the facilities are fantastic. My dad made a rocket launcher for the kids to play with. It is made from a plastic tube connected to a soda bottle filled with foam. You just stomp your foot on the bottle and it launches a rocket made of paper and foam.
