Our New-To-Us Kitchen Table
By michelle | August 21, 2010
I was looking for a small table for our classroom when I came across this amazing deal.
This oak (really solid) table is 66″ without the four one-foot leaves. It came with five chairs, three of which are captain’s chairs. Currently, we have one leaf in the table. If we put all three, it would almost go across the length of our kitchen.
Now our former kitchen table is up in the classroom, and it fits perfectly.
I kept two of the chairs downstairs, and brought three upstairs.
And the grand total: $110!
I love Craigslist!

Wow! That’s a great deal! We have mismatched chairs too. It really doesn’t matter as much as it once might have. Our dining table is our homeschool table too so it REALLY had to seat 8.

Beautiful table. And regarding the chairs, I read online somewhere today something along the lines of “use mismatched dining room chairs——you wouldn’t have eight matching chairs in your living room!”
I like the coordinating wood color in different styles a lot!

Wow…it’s really nice! We have a veneer table, which I almost always cover with a pretty tablecloth…one day I want a solid wood one, preferably maple, guess I’ll have to keep an eye out on Craigslist.

My MIL and I tried to find a label on the table and chairs, but we couldn’t. She thinks it might be Amish-made.
