Multitude Monday: Week 5
By michelle | June 28, 2010
It has been months since I last did a Multitude Monday, but I really want to get to one thousand. I have a long way to go.
41. My husband’s return after a week-long trip to Canada.
42. Seeing him cuddle on the couch with all three kids.
43. Hearing Bunky say, “All Done!” at only ten months old.
44. Watching Bunky go from sitting to crawling,
to standing to pulling up, all in about a week!
45. Learning my husband’s trick for calming
Punky down when he is getting too wild.
46. Watching Punky build castles.
47. Hearing Spunky say, “You’re my sweet Mommy.”
48. Seeing my little girl pretending.
This time it was “going shopping”:
49. A sunny day after several gloomy days filled with rain.
50. My first, not so perfect, tomato:

Magda, The trick is incredibly simple! When Punky is becoming to crazy/wild/rambunctious, my husband will say to him, “Are you feeling too wild?” And then Punky is able to recognize that he acting wild and he is able to calm himself down. It seems, to us, that he doesn’t realize how wild he gets and when we point it out to him, he is able to take a step back and analyze his behaviors. Pretty simple! And it works for Punky!

I love the pic of your husband with all the kids. SO cute.
I wonder if your calming trick would work on my wild one. Last night she and her sister were bouncing around their room (I confined them there, otherwise it would have been the whole house). I took a deep breath, grabbed the baby, and went in. Baby nursed on the bed with me while I informed the other two that we were all kitties and would they show me how kitties eat? hoe kitties take a bath? how kitties curl up and go to sleep on the floor? It worked! They were able to set their brains to pretending with their whole bodies and it calmed them (for a while) until I could read to them.
