We enjoyed the French Quarter, especially the food. We spent a couple of days walking around this part of New Orleans, but made the mistake of heading down Bourbon Street one night. I can tell you that I won’t be doing that ever again; and I don’t think we will go back to New Orleans again at all. For us, it was nice to visit once, but we’d rather go somewhere else the next time we have a chance to travel.

I always say the same thing – it is nice to see a place one time and then go somewhere else next time. The only place I would like to visit again in PARIS!
I am just catching up…
I am glad you had this opportunity! Yes, any break is like a breath of fresh air…I am realizing that even more now.
Enjoy what is left of your trip, or safe travels if you are traveling, or happy unpacking if you are home
what was so bad about it? Just curious. I’ve never been to New Orleans, and I’ve never really had the desire to go. Hmm…
one of the mystery book series I have read some of is set in this area; the books make it sound very rich, lush and well, yeah I can see not nessesarily it being a first priority though it sure has a lot of history…
My dad loves New Orleans and has been there many times! I actually have never been there yet but would love to someday!!
Mee, too! I want to know what was so unpleasant about it, and the reason I’d like to know is, my husband is pondering whether to attend a medical conference there in May – or whether to attend the one next year, in Honolulu. Obviously I’m trying to encourage him to do the latter, and to take me along!!
