Punky’s 4 Year Check-Up
By michelle | November 23, 2009
Our boy is huge!
He is nearly 45 inches tall (off the charts!) and weighs almost 43 pounds. His BMI is 25%, his BP was great, as was his hearing and vision.
The pediatrician has referred him to a speech therapist, who we will be visiting at the beginning of December. He was evaluated when he was 2 1/2 but didn’t qualify by just a little bit. Hopefully, the therapist will be able to get him on track by the time he starts pre-school next fall.

Wow! You sure grow them big! :~) Your 4 year old is bigger than my 5 year old, your 2 month old is bigger than my 6 month old! It sounds like he is very healthy!!!

Very cool. Thanks for sharing…I went to speech therapy when I was five. I was tongue tied, which is when the tongue is too short because the part under the tongue that holds it in the mouth is short and thick. It was surgically cut to make it normal and then I went to speech therapy. Can I say, speech therapy is soooo worth it! Being able to be understood when you speak, really changes everything: self-esteem most importantly.

He’s cute and so big! Do you have other big people in your family?
My niece had speech therapy and it was extremely beneficial for her. I’m sure it will be for Punky, as well.
