Someone Is Touching My Head Again
By michelle | September 23, 2009
I think this photo sums up Bunky first month.
One, or both, of his siblings is touching this poor little guy nearly every moment of the day.
It doesn’t matter if he is sleeping or nursing or just hanging out, they never leave him alone.
I am happy that Punky and Spunky adore their little brother as much as they do, but it gets pretty frustrating when I need to get something accomplished and Spunky has, once again, woken up her brother. She is very mothering and loves to stroke her brother or rub her face on his head. If he starts crying, she tries to do anything to make him stop. Once, she even picked him up. I think I literally flew across the room when that happened. Thankfully, Bunky was fine. Spunky actually did a great job picking him up… but that is not something we want to encourage.
Punky understands to leave Bunky alone when he is sleeping. However, it seems like he always chooses that time to run through the house screaming or to push his very noisy semi-truck through the house. I hate having to tell him to be quiet all the time, but this little guy needs his sleep, and Mommy needs some time, too.
Since I spend most of my day taking care of the big kids and the baby while attempting to clean, cook and do laundry, I end up staying up much too late at night.
Take last night for example: Bunky didn’t fall asleep until nearly 11pm, and that was after he had been fussy since about 8 o’clock. Needless to say, I needed a little me time. I spent last night working on some lessons that I want to do with the kids. BUT I stayed up much too late. And since Bunky woke up before 5am this morning and stayed awake, fussing and crying until about 10am, I only got about four hours of sleep.
I think he has gas. A friend is coming over this afternoon to watch the big kids while Bunky and I take a trip to the grocery store. We are going to pick him up some natural tummy soothing stuff and see if it helps. I hope it does. I think I may need to watch what I eat more carefully.
Tomorrow we head to the pediatrician, and we will find out how big our “little” guy is. I am guessing 11 1/2 pounds.
What do YOU think?

You would know best how much he weighs. I guess 11 3/4, or close to 12. Maybe your house doesn’t have to be so clean right now. Sacrifice a little cleaning for some more me time, and or “me and baby” time. Just tidy up 30 minutes before hubby gets home and call it good.
Nothing gets my babies like onions, broccoli or cabbage (lettuce, garlic, too much sugar). Good luck. Lots of prayers.

Yeah. Some of my friends had to cut out things while nursing… one of my friend’s babies have acid reflex, so she has to cut out citrus and tomato based things…
I remember babysitting a family when I was still in middle school and the girl must of been 4 at the time and did the something – the Mother was in shock I think! Babies thankfully are pretty strong and God is merciful.
Hope it gets better – and that you can have some more sleep soon! *Hugs*

Poor little guy can’t get a minute to himself.
But that is SO cute that his big brother and sister love him so much and want to touch him all the time! I hope his tummy feels better soon so you can all get a little bit of rest!
