Please Say a Prayer for My Mom This Morning!

By | August 10, 2009

Last Friday, my mom went to see her doctor and had her PICC line taken out.  Then, this morning, she got a call from the hospital saying that they had found an infection, which means that the infection is most likely in my mom’s body as well.  She feels fine and does not have a fever; so, hopefully, the infection is either very small or has resolved itself.

The concern is that because of my mom’s low white blood cell count (due to her most recent chemotherapy), she will not be able to fully fight this infection.  Once they do a CBC at the hospital this morning, they will determine if she needs to be admitted or not.  (Obviously, she does not want to be admitted again.)

Please pray that she will not feel worried about this AND that the infection is healed!

My mom got a big fat infection at her port site during her first chemo. I know how hard it is to kick, prayers, love and more prayers.
