All You Ever Wanted to Know About Spunky at Two Years Old

a few days old — 1st Birthday — 2nd Birthday

  • she is very petite: 33.5 inches (38th percentile) and 25.6 pounds (33rd percentile)
  • can says hundreds of words and speaks in sentences almost all of the time
  • can count to 10 (with a few weird numbers in the middle)
  • sings the ABCs and many other songs- with motions
  • can jump really high and run fast
  • knows all her body parts
  • imitates the noises animals make
  • loves to play pretend with her babies, pushing around her stroller and talking on the phone
  • plays the piano and guitar while singing, usually “Old MacDonald”
  • sings in the car to herself
  • walks around the house “reading” books
  • loves to draw with crayons (aka “colors”), paint and play with play dough
  • take a long nap every afternoon at 1:30
  • goes to bed at around 8:15 every night
  • can say parts of The Lord’s Prayer
  • enjoys praying with Mommy and Daddy in the morning
  • always lights candles at church and asks for money to buy one
  • loves riding in the car and singing along to music on my iPod
  • spots motorcycles when we are driving and starts yelling at them
  • her favorite foods are probably pasta and pizza… and candy
  • her favorite drink is “juice and water”
  • loves “ollipops” (lollipops)
  • is incredibly stubborn and cries “crocodile tears” when she doesn’t get her way
  • tries to beat up and tackle her big brother
  • bosses everyone around, even adults
  • has a crush on an older boy who she calls “bitchy” because she can’t pronounce his name (J.P.)
  • always plays with the older kids- and can keep up with them
  • can play Red Light, Green Light
  • one of her favorite things to do is watch lawns being mowed
  • loves calling her grandparents and talking to them on the phone
  • adores her big brother and mimics everything he does
  • gives kisses to her baby brother, who she is very excited about
  • is a complete and total Mama’s girl and wants her Mommy all the time
  • gets incredibly excited whenever Daddy enters the room and she runs to hug him
  • she is outgoing, but can be shy with people that she doesn’t know well
  • is incredibly tender-hearted and tried to “take care of” people who are sad or hurt
  • is a wonderful little girl, and I could keep going, but I will stop here :)

My favorite part is about her crush on “bitchy” hahaha That killed me. Sounds like her cousin, who is in love with her good friend’s daddy (a guitarist at our church)!
