Pregnancy Update: Week 35, almost 36
By michelle | August 6, 2009
I haven’t been feeling well at all lately. Lots of Braxton Hicks, abdominal pain, back ache, etc. I guess this all comes with the territory when you are having your third child. I spent yesterday throwing up and visiting the toilet in between lying in my bed and trying to nap. I’ve learned that napping is impossible with a 3 1/2 year old boy who needs to tell me everything that is he doing when he is doing it. Fortunately, Spunky still naps; so at least I get a little break.
35 Week Stats:
- 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced
- baby has completely dropped and is in the “right position”
- his heartrate- 166 (highest yet- I think he is getting excited to meet us!)
- my BP was high this week: 140/82
- but NO protein in my urine (so, no signs of pre-eclampsia)
- according to my doctor, I’ve gained 31 pounds so far (much better than the 50 and 60 lbs I gained with the other two pregnancies)
- baby measuring right where he should be and moving around ALL the TIME

Sounds like all is well with the baby!
Hang in there – it is hard to be a mother and feel sick! Hope you feel better soon!! My small prayers!

Sounds good! I’m never more than 1 cm dilated before I go into labor, so 2 sounds like a good start to me! Hope you can rest and be at peace as you wait!

Not long now, you are so close! Rest as much as you can, even if it is as simple as hanging out on the couch.

Whoa, maybe that little guy will make an early appearance. Sounds like after this one, you might call it quits with THREE! It certainly hasn’t been an easy pregnancy for you! Poor dear

YAY! Won’t be long now. I was 5 cm dilated for the last two weeks with my 3rd. My midwife was calling me a couple times a day there at the end–just sure I’d go at any moment. Of course, once things got started, there was no time to waste. I love remembering it all! Try to rest and enjoy these last days of his bumps-in-the-tummy. He’ll be here before you know it.
How exciting!!!
Hugs!

How exciting! Praying for your strength (because I know you won’t get much rest)! I can’t even imagine another baby, yet, maybe when my oldest is in Kindergarten…. My house is just now recovering, lol.
Good luck! All the sickness will be worth it shortly
