If It Isn’t One Thing, Is It Another

My dad tore his meniscus this weekend.  He is having a scan on Wednesday night to determine if he will need surgery, which he probably will.  Please say a prayer for him!  Now on top of her daily radiation treatments (an hour away), my mom will be taking care of my dad.  It seems like there is always something going on with this family. But the good news is that my mom is more than halfway done with her treatments.  The doctor said that some symptoms may not show up until weeks after the treatment has been finished, but so far she is feeling pretty good.

My parents are still planning to come and visit after we move, but my dad say he may show up on crutches.  My mom told me that they are coming even if she has to tie my dad to the roof :)   We are really excited to see them and show them “the big house.”

Punky was talking all afternoon about moving to “the big house” and having a slide, which the house doesn’t even have, but I am guessing he wants one.  He is also excited to have his own room and bathroom.  I am most excited about having space to move!  Right now our house is filled with bags and boxes.  It is a diaster!  I am ready to be in our new place so that our lives can become organized again.

I have several wonderful people helping me out this week by watching the kids.  This morning I was able to get a lot done.  Thank you to everyone who has volunteered.  I truly appreciate it!  And my kids love getting out of the house and playing with others kids; so that is a bonus!

I hope your dad feels better soon! He is in our prayers. Let God give your mom strength to overcome all of these struggles. It must be so exciting to be moving. A new house to maake your own, to organize it the way you like – this sounds so nice. I cant wait until we buy our first home, God-willing one day.
