Getting to Know You: Christmas Edition

My friend from college, Kandy, sent this in an email, but I thought it would be fun to post on my blog.  Play along!  Feel free to link back to my blog if you do, and please leave a comment here so I can read yours as well.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? wrapping paper- I actually love wrapping presents!

2. Real tree or Artificial? We’ve had an artificial one for years, but this year I am buying a real potted tree.

3. When do you put up the tree?  Usually right around Thanksgiving, but I am behind this year.

4. When do you take the tree down?  mid-January.  I keep the decorations up as long as possible.

5. Do you like eggnog? LOVE it!

6. Favorite Christmas gift as a child?  the Lava Lamp that my grandma gave me- for some reason, that present was special to me.

7. Hardest person to buy for?  the great-grandparents

8. Easiest person to buy for?  Kids

9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?  We mail out photo cards but I haven’t gotten those done yet either!  Yikes!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?  I don’t know.  I don’t like trinkets… so many a random trinket that I have gotten.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? It’s a Wonderful Life

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I shop all year long and store the gifts in a closet.  It is easier to find sales that way.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?  Definitely.  I just did today! haha

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?  Struffoli

16. Lights on the tree? Yes

17. Favorite Christmas song?  O Holy Night

18. Travel at Christmas or stay at home?  We are staying home this year

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer’s?  Yes- because of the song.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Star

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning ? One present on Christmas Eve and then the rest after church on Christmas

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? the commercialism and the greediness

23. What theme or color are you using?  No theme

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? This year, I am doing chicken and ham with all th fixings.  And pie is a must!

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?  Nothing   My hubby already got me a new computer and camera.  And my mom got me the one thing I requested.
